I have been lucky and most of my doctors are educated about sarcoidosis or at least willing to be educated but I went to a new rheumatologist who told me sarcoidosis goes away on its own in two years and since I have been sick for three years he is sure I have diabetes, asthma and lichen planus. I wish I was joking but with this disease you need to be educated yourself to know when doctors are out of the know. If he had been the first doctor I had seen instead of the tenth I might have listened to him and just continue to do nothing.
